Hello everyone, I'm Achao.
Just discovered a new change in WeChat and can't wait to share it with everyone—the “message recall” feature we use all the time has quietly been upgraded!

In the past, if you accidentally sent several messages in a row, you had to long-press each one individually to recall them—a messy process where you might not even get them all back. Now, users have discovered that when you long-press any message sent within the last two minutes in the chat window and tap “Recall,” an extra option appears: “Recall all messages sent this time.”
In other words, you no longer need to recall messages one by one. With a single click, you can clear an entire batch of recently sent content—whether text, images, or voice messages—all at once. For those who frequently slip up and send the wrong message, this feature is like a supercharged version of a “regret pill”!
But Ah Chao would also like to remind you,This feature is still in beta testing.Only a limited number of users have access to this feature. If you don't see this option yet, don't worry—just hang tight. It should be rolled out to everyone very soon.
Speaking of message recall, here's a little-known fact: different types of messages in WeChat actually have different time limits for recall!
✅ Messages that can be recalled within 2 minutes include:
Text, voice, emojis, images, videos, official account articles, video account links, mini-programs, etc.
Plus, you can still edit text messages within five minutes after recalling them—a thoughtful feature.
✅ Messages that can be recalled within 3 hours include:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, MP3, compressed files, and other various file types.
Here's another handy tip from Achao: If you're worried about sending the wrong photo but want to keep a longer recall period, don't send the image directly. Try sending it as a “file” instead.
Simply tap the [+] icon in the chat window → swipe left to find [Files] → select a photo from [Phone Gallery] to send. Photos sent this way will appear as files to the recipient, requiring a tap to view. Plus, you have a full 3 hours to recall them—far more time than the standard 2-minute recall window for regular photos.
How about it? Did you pick up this little trick? Share it with friends who might need it!
